About the Institution

North Kamrup College, established on 17th August 1979, is one of the premier institutions of higher education in the erstwhile Tribal Sub-plan area of Barpeta district (now Bajali). Affiliated with Gauhati University, it offers education in the Arts stream and is recognized under UGC sections 2f and 12B. The college campus spans 33 bighas, fostering an environment-friendly atmosphere with its abundant trees. The college serves economically backward communities that are rich in ethnic diversity and cultural heritage.

About the Library

The North Kamrup College Central Library was established in 1979. It now has its own dedicated building and provides modern amenities. The library offers open access, allowing students to access books directly. It uses SOUL 2.0 Library Management Software and offers e-resources through the N-LIST consortium. The library has over 18,353 books and a dedicated team of staff to assist users.
